Notebook: Lemmens on the rise

InsidetheGators.com GAINESVILLE -- Which player of his has shown the most improvement this spring? That's an easy question for Gator defensive line coach Dan McCarney to answer.
It's Duke Lemmens.
"He's always been a relentless guy," McCarney said. "A good effort guy. But he has made more plays this spring than he probably has in his three-year career."
A year ago, Lemmens, a rising senior from Westlake Village, Calif., played in 11 games and recorded only 10 tackles. Now, he's working with the first string and showing signs he could become a major contributor.
