Mira Mesa win sends Eastern League into upheaval

Section Sports Nobody knew how San Diego's Eastern League would play out. Would Cathedral continue its string of dominance, coming off a Division II State title? Would Scripps Ranch ride the legs of four-star running back Brennan Clay to the top? Would upstart Lincoln's Victor Dean crush defensive backs with his unforgiving 6-foot-6 size at wide receiver? Or would Mira Mesa finally get the breaks needed to bust through in the competitive division?
